Will being an exchange student affect my chances of a college scholarship?

I am a sophomore in high school right now, and I am probably going on an exchange to Spain my senior year. I have a 4.0 GPA and I am working very hard to keep it that way. If i take all classes required before i leave for my exchange, will colleges still look at me for scholarships?? Please help!
