While Mr. Mazzoni obviously knows a great deal about the recruiting process and the intracies of the scholarship game, he presents this information in an overly simplistic form. There are very few details and a great deal of space is wasted with cheezy, distorted sports clip-art. I read the entire book in an hour while waiting for a dental appointment. This book is a very good primer on college sports recruiting and scholarships, but due to lack of detail and its diminutive size, I’d be hard-pressed to recommend buying it.

Check out the opportunities at West Point. Almost everyone there is a scholar-athlete, and all on full scholarship plus getting paid [...] a year! In conclusion, Wayne Mazzoni did a great job. His, “Athletic Recruiting & Scholarship Guide” is the book that tells you everything you need to know. (Unless you become interested in West Point).

After the mention the book received in the U.S. World & News Report college guide, I expected much more. The book is very basic, and very small. It is way overpriced. It ought to be selling for about $8. You’ll be able to read it in about an hour–big print, lots of white space.
