KETC | Living St. Louis | Show-Me Drummers
From KETC, LIVING ST. LOUIS Producer Jim Kirchherr visits with the Show-Me Drummers. The Show-Me Drummers are a group of middle school students lead by Terry Artis. The members spend a lot of time learning to play percussion instruments of all types and to march as part of the group. Through frequent practice and performances, the students learn not only about drumming, but also about discipline and other life skills. The program is highly successful and has a great impact on the lives of its participants. Many of the members enter college with full music scholarships.

Cool feature about the focus drumline though, glad I got to watch it on here seeing how I was unable to watch it on tv.

Terry Artist is the best….he was director of the Normandy High School Drum Line “The Stick’em Crew.”
The drum line reached it greatest heights under his leadership and direction! If you ever have the chance to work with him, you would greatly appreciate him! He is still the most loved drum instructor in St. Louis!
