Chellsie Memmel: America’s Darling Returns!

19 year old Chellsie Memmel — one of the world’s best gymnasts — aiming to be America’s Comeback Girl. Three years ago, Chellsie was #1 — the 2005 World All-Around Champion — the FIRST American woman to win that GOLD medal since her own hero, Shannon Miller, won in the mid 90s. Then a shoulder injury knocked Chellsie out of action for the past year. Now she is on the comeback trail. This native of Wisconsin comes from a family of gymnasts, starting with her Father and Coach. Dad and Mom — both all-American gymnasts who won full college scholarships — are Chellsie’s role models. And Chellsie’s two younger sisters are also gymnasts.
