FreeCollegeEdu.com-College For Free

By admin On May 31, 2010 No Comments

Believe it or not, free college tuition colleges are not a myth. They sustain themselves by a couple simplistic measures to ensure they remain as tuition free as possible. While students enter into work programs designed around their major, they are contributing to lowering the colleges over-head costs and other costs associated with hiring and maintaining a workforce. For paying professors and maintaining basic operating costs, these free college tuition campuses are maintained by endowment funds. While these endowment funds are usually associated with organizations that wish to have students enter their workforce upon graduation, they are actually very lucrative, allowing the college to remain in existence under certain qualifications. Of course, the final method of keeping their doors open is through federal funding. Even private colleges receive federal funding whether it is through research grants or specific program funding. – created at animoto.com

Beau Hill

By admin On May 31, 2010 5 Comments

Awesome person Beau Hill…. Known for his height and athletic ability, Beau Hill turned down college baseball scholarships to ride bulls. I grew up around rodeo and knew this is what I wanted to do. So, I took a college rodeo scholarship instead. Hill credits his college coach to helping him improve as an adult. I had the fundamentals down, but my coach worked with me a lot at our college arena. Plus I started going to pro rodeos, and Id say that helped make a difference in my riding. His injuries read like a laundry list of broken bones — a broken ankle, broken sternum, broken foot, torn ligaments in his elbow, partially separated shoulder and those are only some of the worst injuries Hill has overcome.

Study Scholarships For People Working Who Wish To Return To School

By bruce On May 31, 2010 No Comments

Working and going to school is difficult even for teenagers; for adults it is even harder. However, if you have the drive and the fortitude it can be done. There are tens of thousands of people doing it every year from ever walk of life. Single working men, single working women, working moms, working dads; they are all doing it, many with great success. So, if you have been thinking seriously about going back to school, stop hesitating; there are many grants and scholarship programs out there to help you carry the load. Some of them are government sponsored, while others are private.
Many individuals who think about going back to school stop at the thinking stage. They feel it would be too time consuming and too much trouble to go through all the effort of applying, only be turned down in the end because of past or current situations. This is only negative thinking and is not at all the case. There are 1000s of people, just like the ones reading this article, who get granted scholarships every day, and it wasn’t that difficult at all. Scholarships for the working adult are out there if you will just take the time to search them out.
The first thing you need to do is go to the school you wish to attend and ask directions to the financial aid office. These people are there especially to help you. They will not only give advice as to what grants and scholarships to apply for,  they will supply you with all the forms and paperwork they have at their disposal. Also, if you are having difficult filling out the forms, they will guide you through it. Best of all, since it is their job, they keep fully abreast of all current information about both old and new grants or scholarships that would best suit your particular need.
One thing you might want to know is the difference between grants and scholarships. Unlike scholarships or student loans which you ordinarily have to pay back after exiting your school program, grants are free gift money. Most grants are given to financially impaired or deprived students.
The three most common sources for grants are federal  and state grants, college and university grants, and private sector grants. The Federal Pell Grant is one of the most widely used. Again, your chosen school’s financial aid office will know what is available to you. If you are currently working in a field that would qualify, there are also many special “high needs” grants in areas like nursing and teaching just to name a couple.
If it doesn’t look like you are going to qualify for a grant, don’t worry. There are many scholarships for the working adult available. These loans are deferred until you finish your coveted education level, so you don’t have to worry about the financial strain of trying to pay them back as you are trying to both work and go to school. Of course getting a free grant would be nice, but in the long run you are still a lot better off taking a scholarship since with the higher education there will also be higher wages.
So, stop thinking and start doing! Head for the financial aid office of the school you wish to attend. There ARE scholarships for the working adult available but on campus and online where you can get your degree online and get a study scholarship..

Our mission is to provide college scholarships and educational counseling to the children of military personnel who have been killed in the line of duty. Every year hundreds of service men and women are killed in training accidents and many more have given their lives in the continuing War on Terror and other combat operations. Like the Minutemen who first won our country’s freedom, the members of today’s Armed Forces volunteer to put themselves in harm’s way on our behalf.
